The Flamefighter Marble 10 Year Smoke Alarm is a photoelectric 3V Lithium cell (sealed in) smoke alarm with a battery life of 10 years. With the photoelectric technology, this alarm is more sensitive to detecting slow smouldering fires which may smoulder for hours before bursting into flames.
